This perch was bought for my handicapped Senegal.
I have rescued 8 parrots total but Peanut is by far the neediest and the most independent all at once. She has become more independent because of the perches and the physical therapy. She can climb up to the stars if given a tool to get there. She also has shelves but she only uses the shelves to eat on. She loves her flag stone perch, we hope to replace all the shelves with flag stone perches. She cannot perch on wood perches but with the physical therapy program I developed she is now able to perch on rope Boings and rope Atoms.
She still prefers the Flagstone Perches, especially to sleep on. I love the flag stone perch I have and wouldn't trade it for anything. They are easy to clean and very easy to disinfect. Just boil water, turn off the water and let set while you clean it with Dawn or other dish soap, with a few drops GSE, dip in hot water and lay on Paper towel to dry. Replace in cage.
Thanks,
Cheryl
